The project concept comes from the piazza, a major theme in Reggio Emilia philosophy which teachers and students gathering to learn and share from each other. The school is adopted a Mexican vernacular architecture into the design, and it is enclosed from inappropriate urban context.

At the center of school, a net canopy connects two sides of the building and serves as a communal space for the users. The organization of classrooms and other programs are designed to enhance learning environment while a central courtyard provides a microclimate relieving students and teachers from the hot temperature of the Tucson climate.
